Dear DAGERSystem Supporters,
The Accessible Games Database went live a week ago today, and the feedback from both the disabled gaming community and the games industry has been incredible and humbling. Thanks to your support in both the development and promotion of the AGD, we’ve reached many users for whom this service was built. Here are some of the articles covering the AGD’s launch:
gamesindustry.biz
Kotaku
Rock Paper Shotgun
GameInformer
PCGamesN
Eurogamer
Game Rant
Our work is just beginning! The next steps for the AGD are expanding the filtering to include more features that impact accessibility and further developing a data-gathering pipeline so the companies who make the games provide the data. That way we can ensure up-to-date and accurate accessibility information for our users.
We could not have reached this point without you, and as always, we continue to welcome your thoughts and feedback so we can make The Accessible Games Database as comprehensive and effective as we know it can be.
Accessible Games Database Now Launching Oct. 1
It’s been a whirlwind summer for DAGERSystem, and I’m excited to say that the technical parts of the Accessible Games Database are complete, and we know that when it launches it will become the premiere source of consumer protection in the area of accessibility in video games.
